Milestone project: Ravenhall

Ravenhall was one of SCG’s first engagements on a major, capital construction project. SCG’s founding shareholders, Sharne and Nick, were redeployed to the project, continuing their roles under a previous employer, and helped deliver the design for one of Australia’s largest correctional centres.

SCG experienced significant growth during the Ravenhall project period, including the employment of two additional consultants as a direct result.

Milestone: DISP V1.0 Accreditation 

The Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) establishes minimum security requirements for companies involved in the supply chain of Defence projects to ensure the protection of sensitive information and assets.

October 2018

Major project: NSW Correctional Bed Expansion Program  

First the Prison Bed Capacity Program (Shortland (Cessnock) Correctional Centre 330 bed expansion), followed by Cessnock 240 bed, Dillwynia 248 bed and Metropolitan Remand & Reception Centre 440 bed expansions.

Vale Steve Barlow (June 1964 – January 2019)  

Steve, a co-founder of SCG, sadly passed away in January 2019. He had an extensive career within the security industry, contributing to many iconic security and engineering projects in Australia and internationally.

In establishing SCG, Steve created a legacy within the security industry. We are proud to have known and worked with Steve and grateful for the opportunity to continue his vision.

Milestone: DISP V2.0 accreditation

SCG has the required security measures in place to safeguard sensitive data and is dedicated to upholding top security standards. This accreditation allows us to store and handle SECRET information.

May 2022

Major project: SCG is appointed the Security and ICT Consultant for the Riverina Redevelopment Project

This project was a first for SCG in several ways:

  • First major Defence Managing Contractor contract
  • First major Defence security and ICT appointment
  • First $1B+ capital project for Defence across three bases; Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks Kapooka and RAAF Base Wagga
