Australian Federal Police (AFP) Victoria State Office

SCG’s role included user requirements definition, security risk assessments, security planning, design and documentation of the physical and electronic security and firing range for the building.

SCG’s scope included the preparation of the User Requirement Brief for the operational safety training facility, including 25m indoor range, the associated ballistic protection and briefing input to the adjacent facilities.

The planning and design of the firing range planning involved significant complexity in order to accommodate the AFP within a multi-user building, with the design delivered in Revit for coordination with all services and interiors.

With AFP’s approval, SCG was engaged by Probuild to design the firing range under a D&C delivery structure, including services throughout the construction and acceptance testing stages, however, the project changed locations and SCG was subsequently re-engaged by AFP to deliver user-side design and construction phase services for both the SCEC security and firing range consultancy services.
