Borneo Barracks Army Regiment Facilities Refurbishments
As part of a strategic Defence infrastructure upgrade, Borneo Barracks is undergoing a major refurbishment to support enhanced security and operational capability. The scope of the project includes establishment of new Physical Security Zones—ranging from Zone 3 to Zone 5—as well as the integration of advanced electronic access control and Type 1A security alarm systems.

These upgrades are critical to supporting secure working environments for Defence personnel, including new secure office spaces, an airlock for Zone 4 containment, a future Zone 5 facility, and expanded classroom seating within the G-06 area.
SCG has been engaged by ACOR Consultants to provide SCEC Security Consultant Services throughout the design and delivery phases of this high-security refurbishment project. Our role is to ensure that all physical and electronic security works comply with the requirements of the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework and ASIO-T4 Technical Notes.
The project will be delivered over five defined stages, aligned to the design and construction lifecycle: 30% Design, 90% Design, Issue for Tender, Issue for Construction, and finally, the Construction, Delivery, and Handover Stage.
SCG is committed to delivering high-quality, value-for-money outcomes, ensuring Building D017 meets all relevant security requirements and supports the operational goals of the Defence user group.
