Government Agency
SCG was engaged by the Australian Government to design a common access network and common pass. The project involved highly complex design supported by security system and network expertise, with the system designed to interoperate with other existing government systems.

The project delivery required a team of subject matter experts with capabilities and experience in physical, technical and cyber security to guide the outcome and achieve project deliverables.
The design solution included provision of a new electronic access control system credential, incorporating the relevant agency’s existing access credentials and a common, certificate-based, and manufacturer independent, common access credential, based on existing technologies available on the market and supportable by the incumbent systems (Honeywell, Gallagher) deployed by the agencies.
This design solution, in conjunction with a federated ID and Access Management System, allowed for deployment of the common access credential, along with sharing of access credential information downstream access systems, without the need for wholescale replacement of systems or the need to consolidate to a single platform.
