Hanwha Defence Australia – Melbourne Office

SCG was engaged by AGERO Group to provide SCEC consultancy services for Hanwha Defence Australia’s new office fit-out located in the Melbourne CBD, VIC.

The office fit-out included a Physical Security Zone 2 work area spanning the entire floor of the high-rise building with considerations to the building reception and building core. The fit-out also included a Physical Security Zone 3 meeting room to enable storage and presentation of security-classified material.

As the SCEC Security Zone Consultant, SCG undertook the design, documentation, construction inspections, testing and acceptance of the Electronic Access Control System, Class 5 Security Alarm System and Physical Security Zone works.

SCG’s scope of services included:

Design and documentation of the Electronic Access Control and Class 5 Security Alarm System.
Design and documentation of the PSPF Physical Security Zone 2 and 3 (PSZ) areas to enable Hanwha’s operational requirements.
Review of security contractor tender submissions.
Site construction inspections and support.
Final site inspection and witness acceptance testing to provide SCEC Security Consultant acceptance of the PSZs and Class 5 SAS installation.

SCG worked closely with Hanwha Defence Australia, the fit-out contractor (AGERO Group) and the security contractor (PAYCE Security) to achieve a successful outcome, ensuring the Class 5 SAS and Physical Security Zone 2 and 3 areas were implemented to the Protective Security Policy Framework and ASIO Technical Note standards.
