ESTDEF01PH1 Sovereign Nuclear Powered Submarine Support Facilities and Infrastructure, HMAS Stirling
The Nuclear-Powered Submarine Support Facilities & Infrastructure (SNPSSFI) Project (ESTDEF01PH1-CC04) is intended to provide critical facilities and infrastructure to deliver Initial Operational Support (IOS) as the first step of the optimal pathway to a sovereign Nuclear Powered Submarine capability.
The project includes involves the delivery of new or upgraded working accommodation, command, maintenance, logistic support, force protection and new emergency and response facilities, including primary and secondary emergency control centres.
The facilities will include multiple security zones up to and including Physical Security Zone 5 and Sensitive Compartment Information Facilities (SCIF) and deployment of base-wide electronic security systems, including Type 1A Security Alarm Systems.
SCG is engaged by Lendlease as the Design Services Subconsultant to provide SCEC Security design and consultancy services for the Planning Phase (30% CDR, and 90% DDR) and indicative Delivery Phase (100% FDR and Construction).
The project will be delivered as part of the Navy Capability Infrastructure Sub-program (NCIS) for HMAS Stirling, Western Australia.
