WA Parliament Office security review & design brief
SCG was engaged by Parry & Rosenthal Architects to complete a security review of base building basement and ground floor drawings for proposed new parliamentary office accommodation.

The accommodation will allow six parliamentary and Department of Premier and Cabinet tenancy groups to relocate to a new Parliamentary Precinct building set to occupy several plots on Harvest Terrace in West Perth.
The aim of the initial security review was to identify vulnerabilities and develop a range of security recommendations to enhance inherent security of the area. It included:
- Review of plans
- Review of Government Office Accommodation Brief
- Site inspection
- Client stakeholder liaison
- Summary of findings and recommendations
SCG was subsequently engaged for preparation of a building security design brief, including zone plans, identification of the level of physical and electronic security measures required and the building functionality that the security system will need to achieve.
The scope included review of architectural and security documentation at nominated intervals, attendance at consultant coordination meetings and provision of a report confirming compliance with the approved security strategy.
