Woodford Youth Detention Centre
SCG successfully provided electronic security and communication consulting services for BESIX Watpac, ensuring seamless integration of critical systems throughout the project’s planning, construction and commissioning phases.
During the MC Stage 1 Planning phase, SCG collaborated closely with BESIX Watpac and the consultant team to develop the design, ensuring alignment with project requirements. We conducted detailed reviews of design documentation, cost planning and technical submissions, while also participating in key stakeholder meetings, workshops and risk assessments. Our role included advising on trade package preparation, reviewing subcontractor submissions and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and Acts.
In the MC Stage 2 Detailed Design and Construction Phase, SCG continued our oversight by attending site inspections, reviewing subcontractor material and designs, and providing technical input into the commissioning steps. SCG reviewed training materials, operational maintenance manuals and as-built documentation to ensure a smooth handover and operational readiness.
Throughout the project, SCG maintained a high-level of assurance in the delivery of security and communications services, contributing to the facility’s overall success while upholding security and operational integrity.
