Daniel Clarke
Security Consultant, New South Wales
Daniel comes from a long family history in the security industry and has built his career from the ground up, starting as an apprentice before moving through technician, senior technician, and leadership roles. With a natural inclination for problem solving and technical solutions, he thrives on engaging with clients to understand their challenges and deliver tailored outcomes that balance cutting-edge technology with practical, budget-conscious design. His work spans multiple high-security environments, including national data centre projects where he has integrated security management systems at scale. Daniel’s strength lies in his ability to collaborate with everyone from executives to on-the-ground operators, ensuring solutions work seamlessly at every level.
Today, Daniel brings this practical, hands-on experience into consulting, where he continues to push boundaries with innovative approaches and a drive for larger, more complex, and higher-stakes projects. He has a strong interest in the critical infrastructure, justice and transport sectors, where security is at the forefront of design, and looks forward to contributing more in these spaces. Within SCG, Daniel is passionate about mentoring younger graduates—sharing lessons from his own career path, encouraging critical thinking, and helping the next generation of consultants grow. Outside of work, he enjoys board sports such as snowboarding and wakeboarding, playing guitar, travelling (particularly in Japan), and strength training.
