Dylan Fleming
Graduate Security and Communications Engineer, Queensland
Dylan is passionate about solving complex problems through technology, with a particular focus on building strong relationships with clients and contractors. His background in electrical engineering and information technology, coupled with a strong foundation in human-centred design, enables him to approach each project with a fresh perspective. He thrives on the uniqueness of every project, whether it’s the systems used, the lessons learned, or the potential to integrate new technology. Dylan is eager to engage in more communications and emanation security projects across Brisbane, particularly in the RF design and telecommunications sectors, where he can apply his expertise to drive innovation and improve outcomes.
Outside of work, Dylan is a hands-on learner, spending much of his time in his personal electronics lab, exploring microcontrollers, RF PCB design, and calibration of vector network analysers and other metrology devices. He enjoys experimenting with new recipes and cuisines, constantly looking for ways to expand his skills. Having started as an intern at SCG during his final year at university, Dylan is driven by the goal of making a lasting impact on Australia’s national security and ensuring the safety and security of Queensland’s infrastructure. One of his standout projects so far has been the Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre, where he worked alongside correctional staff and interdisciplinary teams to commission the site, further reinforcing the value SCG brings to every project.
