With a career that began in avionics engineering in the Air Force, James has built a wealth of experience across technical delivery, project management, and leadership before moving into consulting. He first entered the security domain by helping establish a new engineering stream within a previous company, sparking a passion for designing solutions that keep people and assets safe. Today, at SCG, he thrives on the complexity and constant evolution of the industry, where every project brings new challenges, technologies, and opportunities to learn. For him, the real satisfaction lies in contributing to solutions that make a tangible difference to society—helping organisations strengthen resilience in a world of changing risks.
Beyond the office, James values community and balance. He has served as president of his local hockey club, supporting grassroots sport and youth development, and continues to give back where he can. Away from work and volunteering, he finds his escape underwater—an avid scuba diver who uses the quiet of the ocean to recharge and reset. Whether tackling complex projects or exploring the depths, he is driven by curiosity, challenge, and the desire to make a positive impact through both his professional and personal pursuits.
