Laval is a Security Consultant with expertise in both electronic security systems and physical security, delivering complex projects across justice, defence, data centres, and government sectors. With a background in electrical engineering and a career shaped by an early passion for electronics, he specialises in the design and integration of security solutions that balance technical innovation with practical constructability. Laval thrives on the challenge of translating design concepts into workable, risk-mitigated outcomes during construction, often working closely with stakeholders and builders to ensure client needs are met without compromising safety or functionality. His project experience includes law enforcement facilities, corrections, defence, and high-security data centres, where he has navigated rigorous stakeholder requirements and emerging security considerations.
Beyond project delivery, Laval contributes to the security industry through his role as a committee member of ASIS International’s Victorian Chapter, where he helps organise events, knowledge-sharing forums, and CPD opportunities for security professionals. Outside of work, Laval enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring new places, passions he enjoys with young family and friends.
