Lynsey Swindlehurst
Senior Security Consultant, Western Australia
Lynsey brings more than 15 years of high-level security operations experience from her career with the UK Parliament, where she rose from frontline roles to senior management, beginning with the Metropolitan Police in 2008 and transitioning to the House of Commons Parliamentary Security Department in 2016. During that time, she played key roles in delivering security for some of the UK’s most significant state events—including the Queen’s Laying in State, the King’s coronation, annual State Openings of Parliament, Heads of State visits and the G7 Speakers’ Conference—while also managing the daily operational challenges of protests, VIP movements, and high-threat environments. This background has given her a unique perspective on security delivery at the highest levels, combining operational expertise with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
Since relocating to Australia, Lynsey has continued to apply her knowledge to diverse and challenging projects, including work with the New South Wales Parliament and several remote community facilities across Western Australia. She thrives on projects that balance complexity and impact—whether advising government clients on lessons learned from international experience or supporting communities in some of Australia’s most remote regions. Outside of work, Lynsey is active in her local community, managing her children’s soccer teams, volunteering with Surf Life Saving, and embracing Australia’s sporting and outdoor lifestyle. She is passionate about Australia and contributing to projects that not only enhance security but also deliver meaningful benefits to the people and communities they serve.
Disciplines/speciality
For me, security is about more than managing risks—it’s about protecting people, places, and moments that truly matter.
