Scott Reeve

Senior Security Consultant, Australian Capital Territory

Scott brings more than two decades of experience in high-security technology and consulting, with a career that began on the tools as a technician before transitioning into advisory roles. That background gives him a unique advantage—he understands both the contractor’s perspective and the client’s operational expectations, allowing him to act as a trusted interface between the two. He thrives on projects where he can engage early, guiding stakeholders, architects, fellow consultants and builders through security requirements that often seem abstract until he breaks them down in practical terms. Whether advising senior government officials or working directly with site technicians, Scott’s approach is the same: clear, honest, transparent and trustworthy. His ability to troubleshoot complex projects, steady teams under pressure, and turn around challenging situations has earned him a strong reputation in both government and private sectors.

Beyond the technical side, Scott is passionate about mentoring and passing on the “unwritten” lessons that come only with years of project experience. He takes pride in helping colleagues and stakeholders alike better understand why security decisions matter, making designs not just compliant but truly effective, practical and manageable. Outside of work, Scott is deeply involved in his community, particularly through sport—coaching, managing, and supporting his children’s sporting teams, while also pursuing his love of sports photography. His photos have been widely used by clubs and organisations, helping them grow and attract new members. With retirement on the horizon, Scott looks forward to balancing part-time consulting with his creative pursuits, travel, the great outdoors, chasing that elusive 1m Murray Cod and family time—continuing to make an impact both within and beyond the security industry.
