Sharne Hesse

Sharne Hesse is a Director at SCG with more than 25+ years of experience in specialist security design and threat/risk management for high-security environments. He has worked in both specialist niche security and large multidisciplinary engineering firms, gaining extensive expertise throughout the engineering and construction industry.

Over his career, Sharne has led many of Australia’s most complex defence, justice, corrections, and government security projects. Beginning with a focus on justice and correctional facilities, he has successfully delivered custodial projects across all security levels and classifications, including major Justice and PPP programs. He is also a practicing SCEC consultant since 2003, proudly applying his security knowledge and experience to critical defence and government projects that safeguard Australia’s national interests.

Sharne believes that good engineering and thoughtful design enhance security outcomes. He is passionate about projects that make a lasting impact, strengthen resilience, and require collaboration between the best minds in the industry. Known for bringing together diverse teams and delivering under demanding conditions, he thrives on solving challenges that push boundaries and deliver long-term value.

As a Director of SCG, Sharne is committed to grow the business and expand its capabilities in secure communications, cyber security and new vertical markets, while staying true to the company’s values of excellence, integrity, and accountability.
