Trudi Fajri
Revit BIM Engineering Draftsperson, Australian Capital Territory
As a highly experienced multidisciplinary draftsperson and BIM specialist with over 30 years in the engineering and construction industry, Trudi began her career within the design documentation side of the industry, before moving to Canberra and commencing on site with projects such as Parliament House. She has since contributed to some of Australia’s most significant facilities across high level security, government, health, sports infrastructure and Defence. She is known for her precision and commitment to accuracy.
Trudi been working in the 3D BIM environment since its early stages and has built a reputation for producing high-quality, buildable documentation that delivers confidence to clients and contractors. Her career has spanned roles in drafting, quality auditing and office leadership, where she has established and continues to bring standards up to date, training engineers, graduates and team members. Since commencing with SCG, Trudi has developed and introduced systems that automate and subsequently improve efficiency and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.
Her professionalism and keen eye for detail and knowledge of construction have also been shared in an article in the Asia Pacific Magazine.
Beyond her technical expertise, Trudi is passionate about giving back to the community. She has been a long-standing volunteer across netball, AFL and cricket, including serving nine years as president of the Western Creek Molonglo Wildcats Junior AFL Club and contributing as a first-grade cricket scorer with Cricket ACT and Cricket Australia. Driven by the belief that young people thrive when given opportunities to participate in sport and community activities, she has dedicated countless hours to building inclusive, supportive environments for children and families.
For me, drafting is about more than lines on a page—it’s about creating clear, accurate designs that people can trust to build something lasting.
