Gympie Watchhouse and Police Station

SCG have been engaged by Building and Asset Services, on behalf of the Queensland Police Service, to provide a security system audit and report for Gympie Watchhouse and Police Station.

Gympie Watchhouse and Police Station is an operational 24 hour facility, regularly holding detainees overnight.

SCG is responsible for documenting an upgrade of the existing electronic security systems, to comply with the current QPS standards.

The existing systems consisted of a DVR/VCR CCTV recording system, digital intercommunication system, electronic access control system and intruder detection system.

Bowen Police Station

SCG has been engaged by Phillips Smith Conwell, on behalf of QLD Building and Asset Services, to provide a security and communications design for the new Bowen Police Station and Watchhouse and assist in the decommissioning and demolition of the existing facility.

SCG is responsible for the design of the telecommunications, radio services infrastructure, intruder detection, electronic access control, CCTV and audio visual systems.

Holsworthy Army Barracks

SCG team members undertook the SCEC security design consultant role for the upgrade and extension of the existing Military Working Dog facility at Holsworthy Barracks.

The new facilities included physical hardening of the existing facility and internal spaces to meet the requirements of the PSPF for Zone 2 areas as well as an extension of the existing site-wide Electronic Access Control System (EACS) to the building.

SCG team members provided advice in relation to the physical security hardening to the architectural team and documentation of the electronic security works.

Shearwater Data Centre

SCG was part of Shearwater’s team undertaking an audit and IRAP assessment program of Data Centres, to ascertain if the Data Centres meet the requirements for storage of material of up to PROTECTED.

These works were undertaken on behalf of one of the world’s largest, multi-national software and technology companies.

SCG was engaged as the SCEC Security Zone Consultants for the program and were responsible for the review and evaluation of the current physical and electronic security provisions to the Data Centres against the PSPF requirements for a Zone 3 area.
