SCG team members undertook the security risk assessment, design and construction supervision services and wrote the Security Management Plan for the Freshwater Place development.

The security services included the entire development, involving the 38-level commercial tower, the 5-level podium, office and retail building, the 60-level residential tower and the associated basement car parks.

The iconic nature of the buildings required aesthetically stringent architectural features and careful device selection and integration.  As a result, our role included extensive coordination with the project stakeholders and, in particular, the project architects to deliver a complex but integrated security solution.

SECURITY REVIEW

SCG conducted a detailed performance review of the existing Access Control System installed at Raine Square, a Premium Office Grade Accommodation building in the Perth CBD which completed construction in 2011.

In consideration of the high profile tenants in Raine Square, and significant building expansion and upgrade planned for the precinct, SCG recommended the replacement of the Access Control System, suggesting a range of alternatives.

The building owner, Charter Hall, accepted SCG’s recommendation, and have proceeded with the system upgrade.

ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADE

Following SCG’s initial security review work to Charter Hall, SCG was engaged to design, document, and project manage the Access Control System upgrade at Raine Square.

SCG prepared a detailed technical specification, including complex high level interfaces to two Thyssen Krupp Lift Control Systems utilising Destination Control and Floor Selection Reporting.

SCG assisted Charter Hall with the tender execution and review process, and provided project management services during the construction stage, which included the cut-over from existing operational security systems in a fully occupied Premium Grade Office Accommodation building.

SCG also provided technical advice and guidance to the project stakeholders and major building tenants during the construction stage, via regular Project Control Group meetings.
