SCG team members led the delivery of the security risk assessment, concept and management planning, design, documentation and construction supervision for the Thai Central Bank’s new note printing works and associated storage vaults.

Our team members provided the security planning and technical systems design for all storage facilities on site, including substrate vaults, work in progress vaults, finished product vaults and a number of other special use vaults, in addition to the associated circulation required for product, pedestrians and vehicles.  This also included the development and evolution of its security planning and management philosophies during the construction period of the project.

Through a highly proactive involvement with the client, SCG team members delivered innovative systems and solutions not previously undertaken in the Kingdom.  In doing so, the Note Printing Thailand II project set a new benchmark for the manner in which high security projects are engineered in Thailand.

Being the Thai Central Bank, the facility services the whole of Thailand and its population, with all Thai currency notes printed and stored on site before subsequent distribution, as well as the currency of many other nations.

SCG team members conceptualised, designed, documented and commissioned the firing range and ballistic services for the Board Search Training mock-up on behalf of the Singapore Police Force.

The project delivered a multi-user/multi-use facility, allowing personnel to practice operational skills at varying levels of competency.

Facilities provide a real-life replication of actual conditions and include:

  • A 7-level commercial cargo vessel, including engine rooms, cabins, cargo holds, bridge, masts and equipment stations
  • Tactical diving and ascent training pool
  • Method of Entry (MOE) – land and sea
  • Live Fire Close Quarters Battle (CQB) – Multi-level, fixed/unique flexible ballistic partition layouts
  • Full close quarters battle ranges across 5 levels and include fixed partition ranges for commonly encountered elements and a ballistic partition range, allowing users considerable flexibility in the configuration of internal layouts

SCG was engaged to conduct a physical security review for a proposed private art gallery housing over 1000 pieces of artwork.

SCG provided strategies regarding storage and display of artworks to minimise the need for extensive building hardening and electronic security and a preliminary security design and cost plan was prepared as the final project deliverable.

Venues West – HBF Stadium & Arena

2017-07-05T01:50:19+10:00

SCG was appointed by Venues West (VW) to develop the Functional Brief and Tender Documentation (technical specification) for the Access Control System (ACS) upgrades at HBF Stadium and HBF Arena.

The project initially comprised three stages to

  1. Develop the Functional Brief
  2. Prepare Technical Tender Documentation and
  3. Tender & Review Phase

The scope included a review of the existing access control systems to confirm the current and future requirements for VW access control and security systems installed at their existing sites.

The project also required specific consideration for integration with existing BMCS and CCTV, in order to establish a suitable security platform for these works and for future migration across a number of VW sites.

Our proposal included optional scope items to undertake a product review in conjunction with VW during the initial briefing stage and the provision of technical assistance services during construction.
